Manage users and groups

Main window

Depending on user rights, the window displays:

  • The list of Folders and projects on the left side.
  • The list of applications on the right side.
  • A button to display the list of available actions.

To display the user and group management window

To display the user and group management window (to create, delete, assign to groups):

  • Click on the button in the left column of the main window.
  • Choose "User management" in the menu.

Manage users

Add users

To add a user:

  • Click on the button

  • Choose "Add a user".
  • Use the form to type in the user's details.

_Attention : It is strongly recommended to use the user's email as the user id.

Authentication options

Pour choose the authentication method:

  • To use Simple Workspace internal system, Choose "Simple Worskpace" in the "Authentification" menu.
  • To use a LDAP directory, choose "Serveur LDAP" ou "LDAP Server (Secure)" in the "Authentication" menu.

_Note: Using an LDAP directory requires specific integration work.

Delete a user

Pour delete a user:

  • Click to select the user name.
  • Click on the wheel and choose "Delete".

Manage user groups

Users can be assigned to groups to make it easier to manage access rights.

To create a user group

To create a user group:

  • Click on the button and select "Add a group".
  • Type in the name of the group.

To assign a user to a group

To assign a user to a group:

  • Click on "All users" to display the list of users.
  • Drag&Drop the user names into the target group.

To remove a user from a group

To remove a user from a group:

  • Click on the group to display the list of users it contains.
  • Click to select the user to remove.
  • Click on the wheel and choose "Delete from group".
